Privacy policy

What Business Process Mapper does with your data: it leaves it on your phone.

Effective 8 October 2026 · applies to version 1.0.0 of the Android app and to processmapstudio.club

1 Who this policy is from

This policy covers the Android app Business Process Mapper and this website (processmapstudio.club). For every question about it, including privacy and data requests, there is one address: [email protected].

2 What the app processes

Only what you type in yourself:

DataExamplesWhere it is
Projects and processesnames, descriptions, business areaon your device
Process mapsblocks, arrows, labels, durations, costson your device
Teamnames or role names, job titles, hourly rateson your device
Checklistslines, ticks, date and result of completed runson your device
Settingscurrency, length of the work day, bottleneck limiton your device

Names and hourly rates of team members can be personal data of other people, for example your employees. You decide whether to enter real names. Role names such as “Packer” or “Owner” work just as well.

3 Where it is stored

Everything listed above is kept in the app’s private storage on your device. Android cloud backup is switched off for the app, so the system does not copy this data to your Google account.

4 What leaves your device

Nothing, unless you export it.

  • Share as PDF, image or text, Print, Share checklist, Save a backup file: the app creates a file in its private cache and passes it to the Android share sheet or print dialog. You choose the receiving app. From then on that app’s privacy terms apply.
  • No internet permission: the app cannot contact any server, including ours.
  • Links: opening this policy, the website or an e-mail from the About screen hands a link to your browser or mail app.

5 Third parties

None. The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, social or cloud component. It does not use an advertising ID. There is no account.

6 Permissions

The app requests no Android permissions and sends no notifications.

7 How long data is kept and how to delete it

  • Your data stays on your device until you delete it: single items where you edit them, everything at once with Settings → Delete all data, by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.
  • Exported files in the app’s cache are overwritten by the next export of the same name and are removed with the app. Android may clear the cache at any time.
  • We hold no copy of any data you enter in the app. There is therefore nothing we could delete, export or correct for you on request. If you are unsure about anything, write to [email protected] all the same.

8 When you write to us

If you send an e-mail to [email protected], we receive your e-mail address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you and delete the correspondence when the matter is closed, at the latest after 12 months. This concerns the mailbox, not the app.

9 This website

The website sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising or social media scripts. It has no forms and loads its fonts and images from its own address. The hosting provider that delivers the pages may keep standard server logs, such as the IP address and the time of a request, to operate and secure the service.

10 Your rights

The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, if you are in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you rights over personal data that is held about you, such as the right to ask what is held and to have it corrected or deleted.

For the app there is nothing we can look up, because its data never reaches us. For e-mails you have sent us, write to the address above and we will tell you what we hold or delete it.

11 Children

Business Process Mapper is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children.

12 Changes to this policy

If a later version of the app handles data differently, this page is updated and the date at the top changes.
